Description
At the end of this activity, students should be able to: – understand the concept of electrophilic addition – understand why alkenes undergo electrophilic addition – be able to write molecular and structural equations for reactions involving alkenes – understand why addition reactions yield mixtures of isomeric alkanes, and predict their proportion in the mixture – understand the importance of addition polymerisation and be able to give examples of this type of reaction.
