Description
At the end of this activity, students should be able to: recognise parts of a circle: centre, radius, circumference, arc, chord, diameter, sector, segment - calculate the length of an arc - calculate the area of a sector - relate the area of a segment to the area of a sector and of a triangle - understand the notion of tangent and construct a tangent at a given point - understand the notion of a common tangent.
