Description
At the end of this activity, students should be able to: – describe the electron configuration of Group 2 metals – write equations for the reactions of the alkaline earth metals with water and oxygen – describe the relationship between the structure of the Group 2 elements and their chemical and physical properties – compare the reactivity of the metals of Groups 1 and 2 of the periodic table.
