Description
At the end of this activity, students should be able to: – state the criteria for classifying the elements in the periodic table – state the group to which a given element belongs on the basis of its number of valence electrons, and vice versa – state the period to which a given element belongs on the basis of its number of electron shells, and vice versa – state the block to which a given element belongs – s, p, d or f – on the basis of its electron configuration – give the electron configuration of an element on the basis of its position in the periodic table, and vice versa.
