Description
At the end of this activity, students should be able to: – describe the dissociation of conjugate acids and bases – explain the hydrolysis of salts and describe the relation of Ka and Kb in conjugate acid–base pairs – decide whether the pH of a salt solution has a neutral, acidic or alkaline value – calculate the pH of solutions of the salts of weak acids and strong bases and of the salts of strong acids and weak bases.
