Description
At the end of this activity, students should be able to: – describe how the pH of a solution changes upon gradual addition of the titrant – describe the characteristics of pH curves for strong acid–strong base, weak acid–strong base and weak base–strong acid titrations – explain how indicators work – choose the appropriate indicator for a given titration – discuss qualitatively pH curves with two equivalence points – indicate the limitations of acid–base titrations.
