Description
At the end of this activity, students should be able to: – say what tectonic plates are and describe their properties – explain why tectonic plates shift – explain what happens in places where the edges of tectonic plates meet – describe what divergent, convergent and transform boundaries are – give evidence for the expansion of the ocean floor – present the evidence for the changes in the Earth’s magnetic field in the past – say how continents move – give the evidence for continental drift.
